Germany’s Muencher Abendzeitung is reporting that up to 15 people have been killed. Again, police have not officially confirmed any casualty figures.
“Many were shots were fired,” an employee inside the Munich shopping centre tells the Reuters news agency.
A police spokesperson as saying several people have been killed and more injured in the shootout at the Olympia shopping mall.
The paper said a large police operation was underway and that the police was “assuming there was just a single perpetrator”.
An employee at the nearby DM drugstore told the paper by phone that she heard “shots and saw injured people ... We can not go outside”.
